Boutique Hotel Lodging for Wine and Live Music Weekends

Old Barn Winery has become a natural stop for travelers who enjoy live music, local wine, and relaxed afternoons in the mountains. Staying nearby means you do not have to treat the winery as a quick stop on a packed itinerary.

Instead, you can build a weekend around it.

Spend the morning exploring downtown West Jefferson. Head out for wine and music in the afternoon. Then return to the hotel, clean up, enjoy dinner, have a drink, and settle in for the night.

That is one of the biggest benefits of choosing a boutique hotel near Old Barn Winery and Vineyards. The hotel does not compete with your plans. It makes them easier.

“Why should I choose West Jefferson Hotel near the Old Barn Winery?”

When it comes to places to stay in West Jefferson, NC, location matters just as much as the room itself.

West Jefferson Hotel puts you directly on Main Street, where you can step outside and reach shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, and other downtown attractions on foot. You also stay inside a building tied to the history of the town, rather than in a hotel that could sit beside any highway in the country.

The original hotel helped serve travelers and the growing community in the early 1900s. Today, its restoration gives guests the benefit of that historic character along with the comfort expected from a modern West Jefferson boutique hotel.

You get history, convenience, good food, a social atmosphere, and a better connection to the town around you.

My husband and I stayed at the West Jefferson Hotel before a big bike ride. Our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the second floor, overlooking the outside dining atea and the rooftop bar has a great view. We enjoyed the complementary chocolates in our room as well as the superb breakfast! Everyone I spoke with was professional, nice and happy to share history of the hotel. This was our first stay but definitely not our last.

Ok just Wow!! I had no expectations, had a trip to ride the Blue Ridge Brutal bike ride and this hotel was in the center of town, so I booked it (no research). O.M.G. what a gem! The remodel of this historic hotel is so nice, a perfect blend of modern and history. Service amenities are top notch and the food here would hold its own in a major metro. It is a true treasure!

The Old Hotel Restaurant is fabulous! We love the food options, and haven't been disappointed with seasonal menu changes. Atmosphere is perfect whether on the patio, at the bar, or enjoying table service.

We just had dinner on a recommendation. Wow were we surprised with the menu. Started with cocktails and then had the scallop app with cocoa rye biscuits...yes you must try. Trout and chicken for dinner and then a scratch made cheesecake

This is a beautifully restored hotel. The attention to detail is apparent from the original furniture to the art on the wall. We will be back!

We chose this hotel for a group of friends to celebrate a high school reunion (we graduated 54 years ago!) and booked 10 rooms for 4 nights. We could not have asked for a better experience! The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, the staff was so nice (in both the hotel and the bar/restaurant), the location with so many options for restaurants and activities in West Jefferson and most within walking distance was perfect. We had a wonderful private dinner cooked by their amazing chef on our last night - the table was beautifully decorated with local flowers and they even found the logo for our high school from another country and printed it on the name tags for our seating. There are so many little details that made it such a pleasant stay: the heated bathroom floors, the chocolate and flowers in the room when you check in, the gorgeous tile in the shower, the toiletry amenities in the room that smell divine, the beautiful art in the hallway and the parlor room, having a parlor room and an outdoor veranda with rocking chairs to gather in. It's a perfect place to stay for a mountain getaway weekend and especially for when you need multiple rooms for any kind of reunion. I highly recommend it!
